BUSCAFUSCO: Ghosts & Shadows

Nizza Monferrato, cuddled in the wine hills of Northern Italy, is not a place for crime and violence.

Living in a battered Airstream trailer just out of town, Buscafusco is a man with a past, trying to make a living by following the old Taoist ideal of the philosopher that leaves society behind to study nature. Like the true sages of old, he does not touch money if he can: he prefers to get paid in food or services, or basically what he needs at the moment. He’s available for heavy lifting, gardening, house-sitting, the odd Tai Chi lesson or for spurious troubleshooting.

The Monferrato Hills are a good tourist spot, the place for good wine and hearty food, not a place for danger and derring-do. But if you are in trouble, you can try and call Buscafusco.

He’s one of the good guys.
